Terms of use

The rules,
in plain English.

What this service does, what it does not, what it costs and what is on you. Written to be read, not to be skipped.

The documents generated on this site are generic templates and do not constitute legal advice. They were written from common Portuguese practice and cover ordinary cases; they have not been reviewed by a lawyer for your situation. That sentence prints in the footer of every document, and there is no way to remove it.

What the service is

A tool that assembles documents from templates with real clauses, in your browser. You pick a document, fill in fields, and the text takes shape alongside. The result is yours, to print and use as you see fit.

What is on you

Checking that the document fits your case, filling the fields truthfully, signing, delivering, and meeting the deadlines and formalities the law requires. Every document page says, before you pay, the cases where a generic template is not enough.

Liability, and its limits

We are not liable for the consequences of using a document you generated, for the content you wrote into it, or for your situation calling for a different document. What Portuguese law does not allow to be excluded, we do not exclude: liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence remains, and if you are a consumer your rights apply regardless of what is written here.

Account, payment and refunds

The account

Created by magic link, with an email address. It is personal, and using it is your responsibility. You can ask for deletion at any time, and we delete what we hold.

Payment

One euro per document, as a one-off purchase, processed by Stripe. There is no subscription, no renewal and nothing to cancel. The declaration opens without paying, one a day.

Refunds

The document is delivered the moment you pay, and it is digital content consumed immediately. If the service fails on our side, if you pay and cannot generate the document, we refund it: write to us and we sort it out.

Questions

Questions about the terms.

Can I use the documents commercially?

You can. The document you generate is yours, to use in your business, with your clients, as often as you need. What you cannot do is resell the service as your own, or republish the templates as your own catalogue.

Who is liable if the contract goes wrong?

Whoever signed it. A generic template filled in well is a good starting point, not a guarantee of outcome. Where real money or a likely dispute is involved, the document page recommends a review, and it is worth following.

Can you change these terms?

We can, and the date below changes when we do. Changes that restrict what you already paid for do not apply retroactively.

Which law applies?

Portuguese law. As a consumer, you keep the right to turn to the consumer dispute resolution bodies of your country of residence in the European Union.
