Declaration ready to sign
Fill in the fields and the declaration takes shape alongside, with who declares, what is declared, the date and space to sign. Available in Portuguese, English or Spanish. This is the document that opens without paying, one a day. When you are done, print it, and your browser's print dialog offers save as PDF.
Three steps, nothing to install.
Everything runs on your own computer, start to finish.
Identify who is declaring
Name, tax number and contact. A declaration without full identification of whoever signs it is worth little.
Write what is being declared
The fact, with date, place and the circumstances that matter. The field takes free text, and the more concrete it is, the more use it has.
Print or save
The declaration is already finished alongside. Hit generate and pick your printer, or save as PDF from the print dialog itself.
A declaration is an assertion, not proof
The document records what a person asserts, dated and signed. It counts as evidence, and counts for more the more concrete and the closer to the facts it is. It does not turn what it says into established truth: whoever signs answers for what they declared.
Dates, names and numbers
The declarations that work are the ones saying who, what, when and where. The ones that do not say things like always met their obligations. Write the facts with dates and numbers; leave the value judgements to whoever wants to draw them.
When the signature needs witnessing
Many organisations accept a signed declaration and nothing else. Others require the signature to be witnessed by a notary, lawyer, solicitor or registry office. Check first with whoever will receive it: it is a step that cannot be added after handing it in.
It verifies and certifies nothing
The builder prints what you type. It does not confirm facts, validate numbers, witness signatures or issue certificates. A false declaration is still a false declaration once nicely formatted, and declaring falsely to a public body is a criminal offence.
It does not replace official documents
Proof of address, proof of income, tax clearance and official certificates are requested from the bodies that issue them. A declaration you write yourself replaces none of them, even if it says the same thing.
It is a generic template
It covers ordinary declarations. If the body receiving it has its own form, use theirs: a declaration outside the requested format comes back, however well written.
Questions about the declaration.
Is a declaration I wrote myself worth anything?
It is worth an assertion by you, dated and signed. In many contexts that is enough, and it is what the organisation asked for. Where more is needed, they ask for a witnessed signature or a certificate issued by whoever has authority to issue it.
Do I need witnesses?
As a rule no. Witnesses are required for specific acts, and where they are, the requirement is spelled out. If nobody asked you for witnesses, you do not need them.
Why is this one free and the others are not?
Because it is the simplest and the one most often needed suddenly, frequently just once. It opens without paying, one a day. The other thirteen cost one euro each, as a one-off purchase.
Is it saved so I can reuse it?
No. Nothing is stored once you close the page, because nothing ever leaves your browser. Keep the PDF you generated.
Need to declare something?
Declare it in writing.
