Invoice receipt to request payment

Name both parties
Name, tax number and contact for whoever is charging and whoever is paying. These go into the header.
Describe what is charged and how much
The service or goods, and the amount. The document prints the amount exactly as typed, and the text notes that VAT is added at the rate in force where applicable.
Print or save
The document is already finished alongside. Hit generate and pick your printer, or save as PDF from the print dialog itself.
What it is and what it is not
It is a payment request: it identifies who is charging, who is paying, what for and how much, with a date and its own number. It works to request payment, to accompany a bank transfer and for internal records. It is not an invoice for tax purposes, it does not let the client reclaim VAT, and it does not count as a documented expense.
When it can be enough
There are situations with no obligation to issue a certified invoice: reimbursements between individuals, settling up within a family or an association, and internal records. Beyond those, anyone with a registered activity providing a service must issue an invoice through the legal channels, even if the client does not ask for one.
Green receipts are not issued here
Freelancers on the Portuguese recibos verdes regime issue them on the tax authority portal, and that issuance automatically reports the income. A document printed by this builder reports nothing to anyone.
It calculates no VAT and no withholding
The amount you type is the amount that prints. There is no VAT calculation, no income tax withholding, no adding up of line items. If you need those sums, do them first and write the result.
Its numbering has no tax standing
The document carries its own number, generated locally so it can be told apart from others made in the same session. It is not an invoicing series, it is not sequential across sessions, and it has no tax validity whatsoever.
It reports nothing to the tax authority
Everything happens in your browser. No data is sent anywhere, which also means no reporting obligation is met by using this tool.

Can I use this to invoice my clients?
Not if you have a registered activity. Portuguese law requires invoices to be issued through certified software, with ATCUD and QR code, and this document is not that. Use it as a payment request alongside the real invoice, or in cases where there is no invoicing obligation.
Will my client accept this document?
To know how much to pay and to whom, yes. To enter it in their accounts, no: it lacks everything that makes an invoice an invoice.
Then why does the tool exist?
Because plenty of payments never go through invoicing: settling up between people, reimbursements, an association's records, requesting payment before the invoice is issued. For those, a clear dated document beats a message.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Each document costs one euro, as a one-off purchase: you pay for that document and there is no monthly fee. The account is created by magic link, with no password. The declaration opens without paying, one a day.
